Hello!
I recently bought a Windows 8 computer and use Photoshop Lightroom for editing of RAW files.
When I export my photos and view them in Windows Photo Viewer, they look as they do in Lightroom (left image on my example) but in the Windows 8 "Photos" app and when I use my photos as my desktop background, they look like the image on the right. When I first discovered the problem, I thought it had to do with my lightroom export, but I figure it can't be that when it looks different in the two photo viewing programs? Any idea about what could be going on?

Hm, usually Photoshop installs a Gamma Corrector that loads on PC Startup, you may have to choose the same colour profile that you are using in Lightbox, and use it for your Desktop. If that does not load, or if it is not there, you can adjust your display 2 ways: You can choose a Colour Profile here...

Or you can adjust the whole Display from here:

You'll have to adjust it so that the Image will look the same in Lightroom and in Windows. But I'm surprised the Gamma Corrector was not loaded, was it installed? There may be settings for that in the Program as well.

I can't find anything about a gamma corrector...
And I noticed just now that it isn't just pictures that have been through Photoshop or Photoshop Lightroom. The colors are different on all my photos, depending on whether I view them in Photos (the Windows 8 app) or Windows Photo Viewer. Hell, the only place they seem to look right is in the Photoshop programs and the Windows Photo viewer. I have tried viewing the photo on another computer as well as my phone and on those they look the way they do in the Windows 8 Photos app. but it just doesn't make sense to me that Photoshop lightroom and Photoshop show the colors differently than other programs.
I have tried calibrating the screen but it appears everything was in order.
I apologize if I sound like an idiot, but I have never experienced something like this before and nothing seems to help.
I don't understand your first image? I opened it, but I can't see how I can change any colour profiles...
