People can believe than I still have and use regular a Palm Pilot Zire 31 (PalmOne) and it worked with XP and even Vista. I don't have those systems anymore and was needing to no if someone knows a site or link that can help me getting it to sync. Like a patch or something to that effect.

The Palm Desktop installed on 8, but the Zire 31 wouldn't sync the data to the computer. I hope this was the information needed.

Thanks in advance,

TC

Have you tried to run it under a compatibility mode?

right click the shortcut to your program and click properties

under compatibility select run comaptibility troubleshooter

if that does not help, select an OS yourself like XP sp3

The problem is, I don't think that someone will write a Win 8 patch for a device that is not available in the market today. Don't worry pal. You are not alone. A lot of Win 8 users are having a lot of compatibility issues with peripherals including some of the currents ones. I have a D-Link USB Wireless N dongle that doesn't work with my Win 8 even with D-Link support. They can't figure it out. I've tried everything and I gave up. My solution was powerline adapters which is a lot better than wireless. :p I know this has nothing to do with your problem. Just saying how Win 8 sucks big time. Cheers!

Here is an idea: Download a copy of Virtual Box (it is free). Virtual Box is a VM program that allows you to setup some of the older Windows OS's. This way you will have a way to hopefully use your older devices.
