Camera/Photos App automatically open unexpectedly

I'll be in the middle of doing something on my Sony VAIO SVT1412ACXS, and either the camera app or photos app will open out of nowhere. It's a touchscreen laptop, and I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. If the app is already running, the screen just switches to the app. If I end it on the task manager, the same thing happens, except it takes a couple seconds for the app to start up.

Additionally, camera would have times when it would stop working, and while using the camera app, it'd be a black screen reading 'please connect a camera' or 'there's an error with the camera.' When this happened, the camera wouldn't even show in the device manager and I wasn't able to reinstall a driver. However, the camera always eventually starts to work again.
