Solved Broken shortcuts, cannot create new ones

Hi there,
Few days ago I started my PC as always, but this time all my shortcuts got broken. It shows up as a file with no icon (a blank sheet) and a name of the app it should be launching ending with .ink. When double-clicked, it asks which app I want to use to open the .ink file (same happens when trying to launch desktop apps using Start tiles). Properties of the .ink files still show the proper path to the .exe it should be launching. Every single one shortcut is corrupted, including even Computer or User. And the worst thing is that when I create a new shortcut, it's automatically corrupted. I wasn't able to find a single mention of my problem on the web. I have no idea what to do now. Every help is endlessly appreciated.

See if downloading and merging the .reg file for the listed .lnk (LNK) option in the tutorial below may be able to fix this for you. It will restore the default associations and registry entries for shortcuts (.lnk) files.
