I know only the developer preview has been released but I imagine there's developers out there who are excited about Windows 8 and releasing or about to release metro apps. Does anyone know of a site that lists new [metro] apps available (or currently in development) for Windows 8? (Sort of like a poor man's marketplace)

Trust me, with what I have seen so far, the applications that will be available for Windows 8 will be the poor man's dream shopping.

No. No such a thing as a bad app. Altho, they might be more suited to you, than to say Wilma Flintstone.
The apps/software in the Microsoft Store caters to everyone, and with prices starting at $1.49 there is a nitch
for everyone. If you cannot access the Microsoft Store by doing the fix I gave in another thread, and clicking on the
Microsoft Store metro tile you can just type in your browser store.microsoft.com

As Mike said, just have a look around the Microsoft Store. Don't expect too much though as Windows 8 is not even at Beta yet so the development of applications and software is frustratingly slow. When Beta arrives, we should get a whole lot more apps brought to the Microsoft Store. As Windows 8 gets even more popular, more and more apps will appear.
But until then, we just need to wait.
There is however a number of tools and utilities popping up all over the internet that do a range of useful stuff. Some change the background picture, change icons, allow more customisation of Windows 8 etc.
