Solved Uninstalling Unwanted Apps

My Gateway PC (Like my Android) came with a slew of (What I like to call) BUNDLEWARE apps (Most of which I don't even use). I already know how to uninstall conventional Windows software & even have an application that does just that. I've also figured out how to root an Android phone to remove the Bundleware there

But what stumps the heck out of me is HOW do I get rid of a Windows 8 app I don't want? I mean it's not like I'm going to be in need of the Merriam-Websters Dictionary as I don't have much use for it. Yet it's on my PC

In fact, THE ONLY two apps I think I ever use on a regular basis are iHeartRadio & TuneIn. The others just simply take up space on the start screen

Any ideas?

Cheers :D

Hello,

Right click on any app you want to uninstall and a check mark will appear in the upper-right hand corner of the app's box. Next, choose your option at the bottom of the Start screen. Uninstall will remove the app completely and unpin will just make it disappear from the Start screen.

Note: Not every app can be uninstalled.

Thanks for the tip. That shrunk the size of my start screen quite a bit :)

Could make it even smaller by converting all the icons to the smaller ones but sadly not all of them will support that as you sometimes don't know what the app is unless you do a mouse over (And even then Windows doesn't always tell you) :(

But at least I get rid of the Bundleware I don't use though so I suppose that's sort of a tradeoff :)

Again thanks :)

Cheers :)

Glad you got to a point where you feel (somewhat) comfortable now.
