I installed Windows Pro 64 bit then upgraded to Media Centre. However Media Centre will not play Region 2 (UK & Europe) DVD / BluRay discs giving the error:
"Cannot Play DVD
The DVD may be in use by another application. If all other applications are closed, the video resolution may need to be lowered or the display connection type may not support playback of the DVD."
I can play the same DVD / BluRay discs fine in VLC.
I've 'Googled' the problem and talked to Microsoft Support who advise me that failure of Media Centre to play region 2 discs is a known problem which they are working on.
This is an amazing admission if true! Has anyone managed to play a region 2 DVD with Media Centre?
