any one know a good video editing software with allows you over lap video
also allow to trim bits of the video out
allows you to trim and edit song
brun video to video to to dvd and aloow you desing to the top menu of the disk
convert video to sond file
all run on windows 8 pro with media center 64 bit
and are free
i guess there wont be one program that will do it all but there sohuld one to some of it i dont have more than one program

for the free video editors, I'd focus on Windows Movie Maker, Avidemux, DVDVideoSoft Free, and Video Spin.
a video editor also allows you to drop songs onto it as well as edit it.

for a dedicated audio editor, check out Audacity. it'll edit songs for you. and it will also extract audio from video files.

once you've created DVD-compliant video, you can use any burning software. I have both ImgBurn and InfraRecorder. Usually I use ImgBurn more but for DVD movies, I think InfraRecorder is better.

for me personally, I'd get a commercial video editor. the closest thing to a commercial video editor here is windows movie maker. the other free video utilities are good (and sometimes awesome) in terms of being good within a narrow scope. but not enough broad features to be an all-in-one editor.
