Solved VLC Taking 5 minutes to load

The VLC media player is taking about 5 minutes to load and run. No other program is having this problem. It was running OK then suddenly it started taking 5 minutes to load.

Hi there
are you using the latest version -- some older versions have some issues with "Fonts(?)"

There's a 64 bit version now available try that.
Normally VLC is just fine.

Rebooted my machine and now everything is back to normal. No idea what the problem was.
