Adobe Flash - Install issue

I cannot seem to install Adobe Flash on my Windows 8 machine.

The test image in blank on this Adobe page : Find version

The instructions are cumbersome and circular.. multiple links each calling up more and pages, eventually taking you back to where you started, and not one link to actually install anything.

its the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Why did they make this so complicated????? Why not "Click here to install?

Clearly I am missing something, but this is getting way too frustrating so I thought I would ask.

I see Flash Player (32 bit) in my Control Panel ...... I was hoping to see 64 nitI see Shockwave Flash Object Add-on ENABLED in IE 10.

How to I install Adobe Flash on Windows 8 with IE 10 ???

Got it. Deselect Active X Filtering.

Adobe Flash is built into Internet Explorer 10 and is not supposed to be manually updated by people. In fact, it's not available from the Adobe site for IE10.

just like how Flash is built into Chrome and not available for download.
