Apps won't download or install using Windows Store

Hi there,

I have recently purchased Pro version of Microsoft Windows 8. Now everything is just working fine as it should, though I faced some problems in adding my accounts in Mail app, but I sorted it out. Now, the problem is that I am not able to download/install any app from Windows Store (found in Start). I wanted to download Skype and some other software, when I found it that they just show the progress bar having nothing being filled in, and then after some time, they show a small cross alongwith it and say that this app can't run or something like that. Sometimes, in the Start screen, the tile of the software being downloaded shows "Pending" and after some time, it shows "Installing" but the progress bar never advances. Then after some time, it shows the following message;

"Something happened and this app wasn't installed. Please try again. Error code: 0x8024001e".

What is wrong with it? I hope you guys reply me on your earliest and help me solve this issue. Thank you for your time.

cant install or update even the default windows 8 apps. It showed 14 updates available + I tried to install Dropbox app all of them failed giving 0x80073cf9 error.
