Installing free Media Center after January deadline

Hello,

I bought the DVD version of win 8 since my internet connection is not that fast and installed the 32 bits version on an old tablet which by the way works great except for more graphic intensive games. I got my free Media Center key after that . I may, before the end of the january deadline, purchase the keys for the 64 bits version of win 8 for my laptop but may use it much later than january. Now to my question. If i install win 8 in april for example, can i use the key i received on my 32 bits tablet for Media center or do i have to make another request? Do i have to request the key again for the 64 bit version before the deadline?
Thanks!

The Free Key of Media Center is expired after January 2013, if the Key hasn't been activated until the deadline.
Request Key will not be available after the deadline.

Scroll down to read the details at the bottom of the window. Note, in particular:

"limited to one product key per email address"

"Your product key must be activated no later than January 31, 2013."

Here's a third-party discussion of the same:

I suppose that the key can't be used to activate more than one Windows Media Center installation, else millions of copies of a valid key would be on the Web by now.

I hadn't realized that the key becomes useless for activation after the end of January, 2013. (The WMC activation doesn't die, but the key can't be used for a new activation after that date.)That makes the free offer a bit less free than I had hoped.

The regular price of the key is supposed to be $10US after that. (What's the fair market value of a DVD codec?)
