One of the first things that I noticed about Windows 8 is that it now has native support for viewing PDF files, like the Mac OS. However, the functionality seems extremely limited. For many years now I have found programs like Adobe Acrobat and Nitro PDF indispensable at home and at work. Adobe seems to have a PDF Reader app for Win 8 but it is getting very poor reviews. Am I right in assuming that Win 8 has no native functionality for generating PDF files? Also, the range of PDF apps in the Windows 8 app store seems very limited. Is it best for now to stick with the old standbys? E.g., Foxit, Adobe, Nitro, CutePDF, etc.?
