nook app crashes

I have absolutely no bloody idea...
every now and then the nook pc app crashes, and I've no idea why. I've noticed it does it most often when reading the novel 'battleship'

some help?

windows 8 version.

this is driving me to consider the desktop version but I dont want to use that one.. I like the features the windows 8 version offers.

Maybe it's that one particular book. I haven't had any issues with it on my machine. I'll do some reading and see what happens.

I stand corrected.. I loaded resident evil retribution earlier(after resetting the hardware due to another problem) and it crashed out on that after one page turn.

got several of these errors in the event viewer.

all of them with the same exact properties.
