Need Help with Office Installation

I just upgraded my wife's latop running Vista to Windows 8. Checked the compatability report, and no issues.
After upgrading, I can no longer open Office 2007. Get message "computer not configured to run this program".
The bad thing is, that I can't find her original installation discs with the activation keys.
I tried Miracle Jelly Bean keyfinder, but had no luck recovering the keys.
Is there anything else I can try, or am I going to have to pony up for Office again??
