Solved Software for ISO emulation

Hi friends! There is any built in app for emulate ISO files? If not, can you suggest one?

what do you means by emulate, you want to mount an ISO ? ,,,,Windows 8 do it

Yes, mount ISO file! I didn't find in windows 8...

you just right click on the iso files and you choose mount , to unmount you simply eject the drive. This is by far the best feature of Windows 8

Its strange, here I don't have this option in context menu for right click...I tried using Manage-> Image tools but when I open folder with ISO file, this menu disapears..

If you do not have the Mount item in the context menu of an ISO file like above, then you can download and merge the .reg file for the listed .iso option in the tutorial below to restore it's default associations to hopefully restore it back.

If you do not have the Mount item in the context menu of an ISO file like above, then you can download and merge the .reg file for the listed .iso option in the tutorial below to restore it's default associations to hopefully restore it back.

I was investigating and I think when I installed Winzip he changed .ISO file association! Thanks for answer! I'll try o restore here.

Without this regedit file, is possible to edit manually this associations?


EDIT: .reg file works very well and now I can mount ISO file! Thanks a lot!

if you wanted to reassociate ISO with windows explorer, you would right click on the file, choose "open with" and select "choose default program" and then select windows explorer.

Thank you, but just a wee bit more involved to restore all of it's default associations and registry entries.
