Microsoft Store won't connect to the Internet

Microsoft Store won't connect to the internet. I am on the internet but it repeatedly said my computer isnt connected. I've searched my computer for the Windows Update to try and fix it that way and it has magically disappeared and I dont know how to re-download it. I need help bad. Thank you.

It sounds like you may have a corrupted install.
I would highly recommend reinstalling windows.

right click on Computer Icon on the desktop

I've already reinstalled it once for the same problem. and area what do I need to do after I right-click? I dont see anything that says "Update"

There is something else going on here but....

On Keyboard hit WIN+C and click on Settings and then Change PC Settings
Down at the bottom click on Windows Updates

or click on search and type Control Panel
open that and windows update should be in there

If that is not in either of those places, there is something seriously wrong with your install of windows and if it is doing this every time you install the OS, you have a corrupt something (ISO, CD/DVD, etc.) and I would advise you to contact a Professional IT Person.

Well I found the update and updated it and the store didnt work. I remember the second time I installed it it worked the first time I had it on but once I restarted my computer, it wouldnt work, and my pc has issues connecting to any network when i first turn it on. It will find the network, and I know the connection works because Im at UT, but yet it will say "No network connection" I have to restart it every time just to get online. I swear im so pissed.

Ok, this is not a Windows issue, I can promise you that.

This is either a Driver/Hardware issue that is not compatible with windows 8
Or you have a bad NIC.

If it is Wireless, this could also indicate bad reception to the UT Access Point.

But this is definitely not a Windows 8 issue.

What is the System specs? What brand and model?

Toshiba Satellite 2011. Pentium Dual Cor CPU 2.20 GHz. RAM - 3 GB. x64 based. My step bro is running it on a 2 year old emachines with a 1 ghz processor and 2 gb of ram. I dont understand what could be wrong. and It cant be. The router is in my room and ive even tried direct connecting it to an ethernet cable and it still messes up (it also worked perfectly with windows 7) And what is an NIC?

NIC = Network Interface Card
Your Ethernet (cable direct connection) or WIFI

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you on this. I would have to be sitting at it.
That is strange, but it's not a specific Windows 8 issue. I would check Toshibas site for the latest drivers. Try Win7 drivers if they don't have any for 8 (which I doubt they do yet, or ever).

Also check the links at the bottom of this thread for other threads or do a search on it.

I found out the problem... AVG Firewall.. my God..

Well. I do not recommend AVG. MSE is fine which is installed by default. AVG is garbage

I agree, but just a small note it's call Defender with Windows 8

heh heh, i forget all these name changes. Noted.

I mention it just in case the Op look for MSE .....I notice that on a Windows 7 , the update for the MSE is now name Defender definitions , meaning MSE and Defender use the same definitions files.
