Professor with lots of educational content for powerpoint in Office 2003 is shocked by Microsoft report that Office 2003 will not work with Windows 8 pro.
I upgraded from Win 7 Home, clean install. I don't use tiles. I use classic desktop in Win 8 plus third party program called CLASSIC SHELL to get a start button in Windows 8. Classic shell works fine so far, and saved me from returning Windows 8 upgrade to Staples. Absence of a start button would have been a deal breaker. However, not having office 2003 is also a deal breaker. I wanted to know if anyone has tried Office 2003 with a classic startup screen and button on a Windows 8 pro OS? I don't want to crash the system. Took me several tries to get the system this far.
