unable to keep live tiles open on multiple desktops

Im running a 2 screen setup with my laptop and second monitor. I try to run the normal desktop on my main monitor and keep metro open on the laptop so I can keep an eye on the live tiles etc. However, when ever I click on anything on the main desktop, metro closes and opens up the last app I had open, making the multi desktop feature pretty useless.

Does anyone know a way to stop this happening?

I am in the same boat. I really want the metro UI open on my secondary display to view live tiles updates while running desktop applications on my primary monitor. Been looking high and low.

I think the worst part is you cant have multiple apps open on different screens. You still have to work from the desktop if you want to do that. It kinda makes the live tiles and apps more of a gimmick than a tool...

Exactly! I actually find live tiles useful and yet its crippled. I'm hoping a tweak or registry change fixes that.
