    Hello,

    1) Why cant I import my avatar from SF? Ok, it doesnt really matter but would be nice.

    2) Why dont I have the option not to display any flag?

    3) I cant figure out this blue envelope and red envelope things! They are most confusing.

OK, now I feel better. But why cant I insert a smiley here?

You can insert smileies you just need to click 'Go Advanced' on the bottom right of the reply box or memorise the shortcut eg : ) = (without the space).

Hi Bill2 and welcome to Eight Forums. It's good to have you here.

To show smilies, you need to click on the Go Advanced button, which will give more options, including the ability to include smilies in your post.

As regards your avatar, the maximum size currently available here is 80 x 80 @ 19.5KB. Your avatar over on SF exceeds the physical dimensions permitted. I have taken the opportunity to resize it for you, using Free Online Image Editor

Thanks, I've put it back in my avatar!

But, why do i have to choose Advanced to post a smiley? Comeon! It ought to be there in the Quick reply option.

    Your avatar's looking good.

As regards having to use the Advanced section for smilies, I've no idea on that score, sorry.

In three of my most recent posts, I attempted to attach images. I prefer png images due to the small size and improved quality. However, in all instances, the png images were shown to be jpg images and would not display in the post. When I converted the images to jpg, they uploaded and displayed correctly. Not sure where this is coming from, the new Eight Forums or my IE8 browser?

Why are png images not being saved correctly?

    Congrats Rich EF TEAM!

Why should I display country/state flag?

Are you using the advanced picture uploader?

Try changing it back to the basic traditional one in settings and then try.

The files attach correctly, but it is probably the file size restriction that is causing the problem, and I would say that they are too restrictive and would certainly need increasing in due course.

The above image doesn't show for me in the post, but it does when it is clicked on.

How do we send feedback to MS?
What is the best way (forum somewhere?) that we can use to provide feedback to MS about Win8? A Google search sent me to connect.microsoft.com, but that isn't helpful. Nor are any of the other search results. Maybe MS doesn't want to hear from their users. hehe. Thank you.

Office 2013, any feedback yet? I like it so far...
I've been using the Office 2013 Preview for about a month and just installed the Retail version (for eval purposes). So far, I'm really liking the suite and it reminds me of what Office was like before it became bloatware. Outlook 2013 is especially nice and it's easy to do what you want to do. No...
