So is it really just me? What do you guys do for quick Lan speeds?

Hi is it just me, or is the performance over LAN not really that good on W8? sure.. copying and moving files is fine, but browsing images and folders etc. via network drives/folders is really not that good... W7 was much better.. What can be causing this? I assume that W8 has actually...
