Some system functions freeze for a minute or so

This started two days ago. I'd be playing or watching a video and suddenly notice the volume slider (by clicking on the volume icon in the taskbar) wouldn't come up at all. Then I'd try doing something else like click some other icon on the taskbar or try to call up task manager and nothing...

video memory management internal BSOD while playing - pt 2

Thanks, I'll do it. The tutorial says to stop the test if temps go above 80C to avoid further damage to the card. Does that mean I should stop before to avoid damage at all? Because these BSODs are annoying, but cooking my GPU sounds even more annoying

video memory management internal BSOD while playing - pt 2

I've already talked about the issue here: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/70582-video-memory-management-internal-bsod-while-playing.html I get this kind of BSODs relatively often. I managed to go through a couple of months without getting any (as you can see from the zip, no...

video memory management internal BSOD while playing

Would you look at that, I got another one lol. As I said, I renabled the streamer service as I needed it for Shadowplay, thinking the updated drivers would suffice

What's in my OS that's taking so long to scan?

My current PC is one month old and the antivirus scan with Avira used to take around 10 minutes. It hovered around this time until recently, then it's suddenly taking almost a hour. I thought this was because of the time it takes to scan personal data like hundreds of gigs of games and music...

video memory management internal BSOD while playing

Well, after two weeks of intensive playtime I never got another BSoD (even though I'm probably jinxing it right now). I think the problem was ultimately with my mobo drivers being outdated (apparently I... downloaded them when setting up the PC but forgot to install'em. Ehm.), now I have the...

Weird folder appeared on my D: drive

Currently have two storage systems, C: drive is the SSD I installed my OS on, D: drive the HDD I keep games and personal data on. After a Windows update an empty folder named with a bunch of numbers and letters appeared in my D: root. Nothing was inside it, but it still required admin privilige...

video memory management internal BSOD while playing

Oh, I understand, thanks. I disabled the Streamer and I'll update my BIOS later. Should I keep this thread open now until I eventually report another BSOD (or their lack thereof) or mark it as solved and open another one if I get the same BSOD again?

video memory management internal BSOD while playing

The BSOD have only been two so far so I can't say immediately whether it resolves the issue or not. I should probably use the PC for a couple of weeks and report if I get any more BSODs What does disabling those two services do exactly? Also, bumping my previous question, would upgrading my BIOS...

video memory management internal BSOD while playing

It was updated at the time of the crashes. It got released a new one just yesternight, and I got told that rule of thumb is waiting a few days for possible bugs to come out before upgrading and possibly ending up with a buggy driver until they release a new one. Do you recommend updating them...

video memory management internal BSOD while playing

I built this PC a couple of weeks ago and so far I've encountered two BSODs, reason being "video memory management internal" both times. Both occurred while playing, Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes the first time and Black Ops III Beta the second. I think inbetween them I got another one but...
