Aero is NOT gone. Only transparency. But so what??? Aero uses your graphics cards hardware capability to make things quicker. Gadgets are also not gone, only hidden. They are horrible anyway IMHO. MS are just trying to integrate all their technologies into one OS. GFW, Windows Phone, XBox etc...
