Yeah i was just trying it out and it's useless, it plays mp4 and avi/wmv... that's it, with no subtitle support either :(

Is there really no .srt or .ass support in the metro Video app!?!?

Thank's for the advice Brink but as the installation is only a few weeks old i haven't created a restore point yet, nor has one been automatically created. I think I'll resort to backing up the data i want (just some movies and work) and reinstall windows 8. Thanks for the advice though. :)

I installed windows 8 and basically none of the metro apps work now, Video, Music, even PC Settings (which means i can't reset windows! >.<) and any time i try to open a file using these apps it says "File Path invalid value for registry" it was working before it's only today that it hasn't...
