Well I used transwiz which backs up the user profile just like windows easy transfer except only on profile at a time. I only needed one so it worked. Thanks for your responses.

It has been removing user profiles when I drop down to workgroup. So I think I will just move the profile to the server and then back again. I think that should work for me.

It would be a lot easier if they kept their documents on the server but it is all local. Thanks for looking though.

We are replacing the server and changing the domain name. So I have to remove the computer from one domain down to a workgroup and then back to the new domain. I don't want to loose any of the data on the computer. I used windows transfer for all the other computers but you can't do that on...

I am changing domains on a Windows 8.1 machine and Windows File Transfer only allows you to import a file not create one. I don't want to add programs to the server or the Windows 8 if I can avoid it. Any suggestions?
