Yes the problem seems to have been resolved. No more freezing after the firmware update I'm happy to say.

I think I figured out the problem. Apparently when Crucial M4 SSDs reach 5184 hours they begin to fail every hour or so. A firmware update is supposed to fix this problem and so far I've gone two hours without the issue.

Hello, I bought a new SSD to test out win 8. I've installed win 8 RP onto it from a usb and everything worked fine. Unfortunately after restarting the computer after setup, it boots straight into windows 7 without any dual booting options. Did I do something wrong?
