Hmm, I think you can disable protection but program itself is still on. Uninstalled AVG and downloaded some other antivirus, nothing changed.

Should I uninstall and try without AVG?

Welcome to Seasonic USA 520w model. I bought everything new except GPU and RAM. Month later I bought new GPU also, now only RAM exist from old setup. But I think my old computer still has same crackling problem, just bought some cheap gpu and ram for it after building this one.
