I downloaded an update for Avast so gonna try the update again. Will report results. EDIT: Reboot was good, no issues opening control panel. Might be fixed.

Honestly I'm convinced its NOT classic shell, due to the fact that the right click menu which is independent of classic shell performs the way it does. I've been doing some reading on the microsoft forums and there are complaints about this update. Some others were complaining about shutdown...

Installed the November rollup and noticed items didn't seem to open from the right click menu on the start button. I have the control panel setup as a menu on Classic Shell Start Menu and it would freeze explorer when attempting to access that menu. I could access the control panel by opening...
