Ok With just 1 tab in firefox running and taskmanager I am using, 1.2GB Ram, 0% CPU, 0% Disk. I haven't got any AV and as for startup programs I disabled all. I ran a chkdsk but I don't know if it had any errors is there any way to check.

Ok I've just installed a fresh copy of Windows 8. Currently in task manager its using these resources with nothing installed and IE running: CPU: 20% - 25% Ram: 25% = 2GB out of 8GB Disk: 40% - 50% And that's with only IE running So Imagine if I had things running my disk would be going crazy...
