I have a Canon mp287 printer and scanner, when I press the scan button I get an error saying 'cannot communicate with the scanner' (screenshot attached). I found a solution to this problem by disabling 'Enhanced host controller' under USB in device manager. (screenshot shot attached), but...

I have windows 8, and the mouse pointer doesnt move after the windows boots up.. But it works after i disconnect it and replug it.. Pls help.. It so annoying
