SetPoint software is buggy in both W7 and W8.1 here, so I've abandoned Logitech mice. The mouse in question is a wireless Microsoft Explorer 2.0, and its associated Keyboard/Mouse Center.

In W7, with older drivers, the mouse config window had a WIRELESS tab. And a prompt would issue a low battery warning. With the advent of the newer MS Mouse/Keyboard Center, those features vanished. On 8.1 as well. Any way to get them back?

That's what I'd like, but the registry entry, specifically, is not available on a right-click in W8/8.1. I see only DISABLE, OPEN FILE LOCATION, SEARCH ONLINE, PROPERTIES.

Under MSCONFIG|start up in Win 7 files paths and registry entry paths are shown for each item. Under TASKMGR|start up in Win 8/8.1 that info isn't shown. Is that handy information readily available elsewhere?

It has run better with time. The old drive's C: partition had 25-30Gb free. Since upgrading to a new drive (a month ago ) with a 900Gb partition there have been no slowdowns. Yet. Wouldn't think that the former free space would have been an impediment. But one never knows. ^_^
