Solved Need windows 8.1 to STOP auto-rotating my photos

Just tried my first large batch of pictures by importing through Windows Photo Gallery (instead of a small, test batch) and problem still occurs. Pictures import exactly the same whether the checkbox is checked or not (very odd). Looking forward to the end of the week when my Windows 7 PC comes in.

Solved Need windows 8.1 to STOP auto-rotating my photos

I still need to play around with it a bit to make sure, but I just imported a test batch using Photo Gallery and it kept the photos in their original orientation (whether I had the checkbox clicked or not). Which I am happy with. Even after pasting the photos into new folders they kept their...

Solved Need windows 8.1 to STOP auto-rotating my photos

Solved Need windows 8.1 to STOP auto-rotating my photos

I don't use any software. I just dumped them into a folder on the desktop, and some of the photos automatically rotated (both in thumbnail and gallery view). I use the same camera and memory stick I was using with Windows 7 ... and never had this problem when dumping them onto my old PC.

Solved Need windows 8.1 to STOP auto-rotating my photos

Windows 8.1 consistently (incorrectly) rotates my photos when I upload them from my camera to the computer. This was not a problem with Windows 7. I need a fix or a workaround. I purchased a Windows 8.1 laptop when my Windows 7 desktop was struck by lightning, in order to continue doing my...
