I already tried cleaning out the slot... And, the card is not showing up in disk management... I really need to take the pictures off so I can take more pictures tomorrow - both of my cards are full. I suppose if I can't figure out something tonight I can go buy one of the adapters.

I hope you're wrong when you say it won't run nicely. I wonder if there's an easy way to revert back to windows 7, I did download the "windows 8" drivers that were on the HP site and they still didn't seem to fix it.
