    Actually I find the contrary. I have an extra gig of RAM and Windows 7 was a dog on my NC10 but Windows 8.1 flies. I can Downscale anytime I wish to use a metro app. Mine boots straight to the desktop and with an installed start menu its fabulous - a new lease of life. It feels much perkier...
