I already held the reset button and it just flashed orange all night

It is a Belkin N300 wireless modem router

HELP! I made a stupid decision in my modem properties and made it to be used as an access point. Now I can't connect to the internet through it to put it back to wireless network access. What do I need to do to get it back to original settings.

Since upgrading to windows 8.1, my laptop keeps locking, it doesn't matter if your typing a letter, reading emails or browsing the net, it just locks up. Sometimes you only need to touch a key on the keyboard and it will lock. What can I do to fix it :(
