    Okay, will do! I don't want to use the ASUS Suite 3 software (which is related to the drivers you mentioned) - since the suite messes up my system settings. Is it possible to proceed with what you've suggested by -not installing- asus suite?

    Maybe you just checked an older version of the dump, before the uninstallation(s) and updates.. I just searched my whole system for AsUpIO.sys and it does not exist

    I've removed the ASUS completely, even used the cleaner on their website. Any recmmendations on this? Norton - ? Why ? I don't think I can live with windows protection. Is this for testing purposes only? Coretemp - what's it causing?
