that appears to have helped. seems the problem was rtwlan as soon as i disabled that it dropped quite a lot now it's much much lower. thank you :)

Sure pretty much seem fine. maybe a few high.

Basically why is it so high, when not many programs are running the figure is even higher now. on top of that my homeserver is running more programs (and even encoding) however the figure is still much lower. Homeserver now running less but even still very low

Hi Thanks for the replies so far. Am not having problems creating the drives. as i said the external drive works fine (although slower than the flash drive). But it causes problems because its so slow. and the drives on MS websites are rather expensive and a waste.
