Thanks for you reply, I just had a run over that thread and I actually did everything exactly like that each time I tried installing. I forgot to mention I am trying to install on a solid state drive. I think its a Samsung but I wont be able to check until memtest has finished. Regards.

Hi thanks for your reply, I will give windows 8 a try instead --windows 8 installed properly. Going to try windows 8.1 as some further reading suggests the 32bit version will work fine on older AMD systems and only 64bit the problem. Cheers.
