Darn! same error--computer rebooted then went to the choose keyboard layout screen --then I selected shutdown--restarted and it booted correctly, but got the same error mssg--"We couldn't install Windows 8.1--we reset your system back to how it was before...."I forgot to mention I have rollback...

Unfortunately, same error--Windows 8.1 could not be installed-- 'we have returned your computer back to the way it was' or some such mssg... Somehow, I seemed to miss disconnecting two drives--I think one is internal, but perhaps both are... Here is another 'funny' thing the machine does--upon...

Yeah there are a lot of unusual things--such as not being able to access the Windows Store--the pending updates pretending to install, but not--the sfc /scannow not working...error mssg: Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service--service is set to manual..the Turn Windows...
