Log on I finally got it fixed. Went back through all the links and then decided to recheck "use a password" and when I did the option to uncheck it came up, and I put in my current password and unchecked it again and now it works fine. Thanks to all who helped me.

Windows 8.1 log on is very annoying.How do I stop it? I have the box for use password unchecked,but it still comes up every time I restart the computer.I am the only user but I do have my 2 computers linked by homegroup. I don't want to lose that,it took too many tries to get it up and running.

Grandson did not change anything else on the computer. Under users,properties,there is no share tab. Just General,security,network, previous version,and customize. No share tab in any of the tabs.

Thank you for your suggestion. There is no "type" or + button. I did find a box with all the other file types and checked that but no where to set as default.
