I tried that, but maybe it didn't work cuz I didn't run as administrator. I'm the only user so I thought I had admin status automatically, but maybe not. I'll try it and report back :)

Ugh, unfortunately I have to report back. I didn't realize I had regular old 8.1, not Pro or Enterprise, so no LGPE. Any chance there might be another way of disabling it so I don't have to install another version?

So since upgrading to 8.1, I've been getting messages out the ass about compatibility. One of them is this: Naturally I know some stuff is gonna have to run in that mode until 8.1's been out for a while, but can I disable this from popping up somehow? Thanks in advance.
