    I tried all the above but finally the only thing that worked was using a bootable usb with windows 8 and by command prompt and commands fixboot; fixmbr and rebuildbcd. This was my solution and i hope to help anyone else in my position. Appreciate your help!

    Forgot to mentio that I manually added the windows 8 choice using easybcd software because at first there was onlythe windows xp choice.. I am now making a windows 8 bootalble usb to try the automatic repair. I will let the forum know.

    Hi I have a sony vaio vpcyb3v1e. I have windows 8.1 installed and i tried using a bootable usb to install as multi boot, the xp black edition on a separate partition. After doing that i couldn't be able to login in the windows 8.1 OS. I got the message Load needed DLLS for kernel. Any help?
