Can't log in on Windows 10 forum

I tried to log in on Windows 10 forum but it keeps telling me that I entered wrong pass word or user name. I know I had they were right and I tried several times but the same thing. I then log in to Windows 8 forum and here I am. I went back to 10 but no change.

    Need a reply

Thank you, Cliff. I did get an email notification. It sure is strange why when I'm on the 10 forum I don't get any. I believe that someone has looked at it but it's not fixed yet. Thanks again, Cliff.

    Need a reply

Would someone just reply to this so I can see if I get an email notification. On the 10 forum I haven't gotten a notification for several weeks--maybe months. So I want to see if it's the same on 8 forum. So if you don't mind just reply and I'll see if I get it. Thanks

    normal.dotm problem

I have windows 8.1 and using MS Office 2007. Lately Word sometimes opens slowly and shuts down slowly. From my understanding this is sometimes caused by a corrupt normal.dot file (or in my case the file is normal.dotm). It is also my understanding the way to fix this is to rename or delete the...

    Virtual machine

Actually, I made a mistake when I said I have 8 gig of RAM installed. I do have 8 on my laptop but on my desktop where I'm going to put on a VM machine I have 4gig installed. So I'm going to go with VMWare.

Thanks, Bruce I'm glad to hear that. I do have Win8 on a 64 bit machine with 8gig of RAM. As far as VMs are concerned, is there an preference that you have for the different ones?

    Virtual machine

I have a laptop which is my main computer with Windows 8.1. My desktop has Windows 7. I was thinking about putting the beta version of 10 on a virtual machine on my desktop. But I read somewhere that it should not go on a virtual machine and that I should just install it over Windows 7 on my...

    Good Morning

Good morning (or good afternoon) from Ohio. It's shortly past noon right now and my wife and I just finished lunch. Pretty soon I'm going up to take a nap. Then were going to the cemetery to place some flowers. Well, actually before we go to the cemetery I have to wash our car. The birds pooped...

    Keeping old stuff

Joan--In spite of that we all survived, didn't we.:) When I happen to mention that to the younger generation these days, they are all shocked. Most can't imagine giving some of their earnings to help support the family.

    Keeping old stuff

Joan--You're post about handing your pay to your parents brings back memories. My first full time job was in March 1947 that was when I turned 16 years old and It's the day I quit school. (Quitting school was a mistake but that's another story). My first check was for $33.00. I cashed the check...

    Keeping old stuff

I started working in the tool-room running an engine lathe for General Electric in 1953. When I started they gave me a little slip of paper that showed my starting pay. It shows my starting rate as $1.64 per hour. That was in February of 1953. I must have done a good job because in October I got...

    Keeping old stuff

About the flour sacks, my wife said that her mom used to do that when she was just a kid. So I would say what we have is probably a good 70 years old. We used it just yesterday as we made some hard-crust bread. We covered the dough with it to let it rise. By the way, the bread was delicious.

    Keeping old stuff

Let's see who can beat this one. It's something that mymother-in-law had and my wife and I still use it to cover a loaf of bread doughor such things. I don't know how old it is, by I'm 83 and this is from mymother-in-law. In those days a lot of people made their own bread. They boughtflour in 50...

I think I'll give them to one of my great grandchildren. It may be a collector item when they get to be my age.
