i change the Icon for documents but it is not changing/updating in the "folder" group. I have tried a few things and cannot get it to change. So what can I do to change it?

The error is "An internal error occurred (INVALID_HANDLE).". This happens on another computer we have too. Is it a system wide error with Microsoft or is it something to do with our computers? both almost brand new. I don't know if this is the right section to post this so Mods please move if not.

May I say Norton is not going to catch all virus. MalwareBytes would probably catch more then Norton. plus I don't think Norton scan's the registry.

I'm no expert but this sounds live a virus that is not working properly. Just putting my little 2 sense in. But ya, run MalwareBytes and see if it finds anything. I may be wrong though like I said.
