ok i have IE10 and it works, i just pinned it to start page BUT when i run it from the shortcut that i pinned... it doesnt work

I successfully upgraded from windows 7 to 8 IE 10 is nowhere to be seen, ive checked in the search and the shortcut is broken, i sustect this is because i deleted IE8 a while back, is there any way to get IE10 back? i cant find it for download anywhere

okay i understand, ill run Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant to see if everything transfers. Im a music producer so my files are very important to me :+)

im sorry i dont understand. When i download from dreamspark, it will give me an iso i assume, and i will make a bootable disc out of that, and then during installation it will prompt me to select wheather i want the full wipe or upgrade right?

Sorry for the bump, but im downloading windows 8 64bit premium from dreamspark and i want to install it on my laptop later tonight. Would i be able to do so without losing any programs, files, or settings? or is the dreamspark version going to format my hd?
