I am using 8 on a non touch laptop and find when I am working in other programs such as Powerpoint or Word it keeps appearing when I am in the top left corner or on the right side. Is there anyway to disable this function as it is REALLY annoying!!

I have worked out how to get to the add location and change units in this app but although have added my correct location cannot make it my home location I want to get rid of the current home location which is 300 miles away from where I am! Any help on doing that please ?

I have set up a daily defender scan using the task schedule, and wondered if I should set one up to update the virus & spyware definitions. I looked today and discovered the last virus definition update was 4 days ago so I updated manually which then downloaded and installed some updates...

I used to have a desktop shortcut on the taskbar so necessary for getting back there without wading through tons of open apps.. Now I cannot put a desktop shortcut on the taskbar have been trying and failing. If I go to the start tile board and click desktop I just get back to the top open...

I have set up a Defender scan using the Task Scheduler. It is doing a quick scan every day. Is a quick scan sufficient?.. I can see no way of changing this setting anyway in the Task Scheduler... if I change in the Defender interface to full scan it just reverts to quick when the scheduled scan...

Trying to install driver for GeForce 9920M GS on my Samsung Q310 using the recommended 64 bit driver from the Nvidia site. Every time I try to install it the computer restarts halfway through the installation. Getting VERY frustrated by this.. Anyone any ideas?? Thanks
