Here's another one labelled Windows OEM Product Key Tool and works for 7, 8.x and 10.

It has just finished, thank God LOL
I'm running an extended disk cleanup for the first time ever on mine and it's hung at cleaning Windows Update files for around 2 hours now, but according to Task Manager is still running without...
Thanks. Obviously I need to practice...!
I've been using it for a couple of years now with no bad things happening. :)

Yes, I took your recommendation and downloaded...
McAfee SiteAdvisor labels PostImage download as possibly dangerous. The software writer perhaps needs to use a different downloader than Softpedia.
Let's put this discussion to rest folks. The content.ie5 folder exists in all Windows OS's and is the place that IE (any version) stores its temporary files. There's nothing suspicious or evil or...
It's not IE5 - it's merely named that, those files appear in everyone's machine no matter what OS it is. I strongly advise against cleaning the registry in the manner suggested.
Things could be worse. At least here one can express an opinion. A certain Digital Forum based in Canada banned me for life because I had the "temerity" to disagree with the forum owner on a small...
This is over a year old - I'm sure it was solved ages ago.
BTW Origin PC is run by the guys and girls that quit Alienware when Dell took them over, or were made redundant at that time, so there's a lot of talent there.
Well I've never fancied my chances as a PC builder so they would suit me fine....if I could afford another monster machine. I'm trying to make my Alienware x58 last by individually upgrading parts...
Er, that includes the case with standard paint job in a choice of colours and labour charges up to that stage then you choose more options as you go along ...they don't sell the components separately.
Yes, I agree, I liked the old one better.
Well there's nothing to walk you through really. Just go here: Malwarebytes | Free Anti-Malware Detection & Removal Software you will get a page looking like below (click to enlarge)
There is NO trial in Malwarebytes Free. To keep it free do NOT accept the free trial. You accepted it and now have a trial of the Pro version, hence the look.
Origin PC are offering it already.
Maybe they'll issue a patch for the patch, wouldn't be the first time. I'm taking no action unless I start seeing really abnormal behaviour in 7 and 8.1.
It's more a question of whether they are responsible for that weird warning. It hasn't occurred the last two reboots so I'll keep fingers crossed that it's history.
Well, EV was no help so it will remain a mystery.
Well coincidentally I doubled my RAM - hope it's not that, although if it were I would see similar errors in the other OS's in my multi-boot so doubt it.
I'll check 8.1's Event Viewer to see if I...
Thanks. I'm going to have to investigate that strange white pop-up though. It only occurs just before the machine switches off or reboots to my other OS. I'll try to write down what it says if it...
