According to your snip, you have Intel HD Graphics 3000.
Sony VPCEH1L8E Technical Specifications
Look under 'Screen' in the above link.

Your graphics are from your CPU.
Intel® Core™ i3-2310M Processor

This is the same as graphics on your motherboard. They use system RAM as there is no graphics RAM.
The 'Total Available Graphics Memory: 1632 MB' is from your system RAM 4GB.
You will only see 'Dedicated Video Memory' or 'System Video Memory' if you have a separate graphics card, you don't.

Everything is fine and working normally.

Was the total amount memory also different in 7?

Not that big of a deal, all should still work normally, there are a few possibilities here.
The thing that you don't see system memory can be caused by drivers.
It happened to me like this: on Win7/Vista the nVidia card on laptop I had mentioned about 128mb system memory but on XP none (XP used custom drivers back then when no laptop drivers were made by nVidia).

Try to look for newer drivers or wait until they are available. For now, the issue is not serious as long as everything is displayed on screen properly.

It can also be possible that Win8 handles the system memory different (this is WDDM 1.2, newer than on Win7). In this case, newer drivers may not solve this issue.
