You're going to make all of the magic smoke leave your CPU. :D

But seriously! That's insane! You CANNOT just replace thermal paste with whatever you have lying around. At best, it may work for a bit before the CPU's auto shut off kicks in, keeping the CPU from being permanently damaged. At worst, you fry or short out the chip, depending on various factors.

I'm not sure exactly what this guy stated, but you can't make your CPU go faster in this way, unless he's talking about overclocking, which means you need a bigger heat exchanger, like a larger heatsink and fan, a water cooled heat exchanger, or other equivalent. In any case, use THERMAL PASTE to connect the CPU to the heat exchanger! Get it at any electronics shop/surplus store or online. This allows for the uniform conduction of heat across the surface of the CPU to the heat exchanger so you don't get hotspots on the CPU, destroying it. Lookup thermal paste and how to use it.

Hope your CPU is ok. Damage is already done, but hopefully it's not enough that it will not work.

When i did the instructions it worked until i found out that the paste went under the core and i had ti clean it with alcohol but i went too harsh on the pins and some of them went out so i guess i will have to buy new motherboard
