Does Turbo Boost work / Enhance Memory performance when you have a SSD Installed in Windows 8.

Finally upgraded to a SSD and was wondering if one of my spare 16 or 8 GB Flash Drives I have laying around would do anything in turbo boost? Currently have 8 GB Ram with a i3 Core Intel Chip in a Samsung Laptop.

I believe you mean ready-boost. An SSD is generally faster than a thumb drive. That fact, and Ready boost isn't much help on a PC with sufficient ram would indicate that you aren't likely to see any performance gains with it. I use it at work with a real fast thumb drive only because my machine only has 4 gigs of ram. Does it help? I still don't notice any gains. Haven't tested or anything.

Ram and ssd will help you the most in terms of what ready boost does..

If you have USB 3.0, maybe ready boost may be something but even so you have ram and an ssd.. Which the ssd Its fast and ram almost instant.. Ready boost was probably a good idea when ram was small and you didn't want to use your hard drive more.. Unless you are doing such huge programming or editing there can't be any reason at all even to look into ready boost..

I'm assuming your looking into ready boost because you want a faster computer??

Think about upgrading that low-end i3 Intel chip instead of anything to do with ready boost.. That i3 will limit you the most..
